Wallpaper Hanging Instructions

READY-TRIMMED DIGITAL PRINTED NON-WOVEN WALLCOVERING

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE HANGING THIS WALLPAPER

1. INSPECT EVERY ROLL

to ensure that the rolls are in good condition. Please ensure that there are enough rolls to complete the job. Examination before hanging is buyers responsibility. No claim can be accepted after wallcoverings have been cut and hung, for defects which are apparent at the time of hanging.

2. PREPARATION:

Walls should be clean, firm, dry and smooth.

Roughen paint surfaces with glass/sandpaper.

Remove any old wallpaper.

Ensure that the wall is an all-over light neutral colour with no highly contrasting areas.

For best results we recommend that walls are cross lined using a good quality Lining paper. Sizing the lining paper will aid adhesion. Lining should be allowed to dry out completely before hanging wallcovering.

3. PASTING:

This is a paste the wall product. The decorator should paste the wall and not the back of the wallcovering.

Use a good quality, solvent free, fungicide protected ready-mixed ‘tub’ adhesive.

Apply an even coat of paste to the wall to hang one length at a time, to an area slightly wider than width of the paper.

Care should be taken not to crease the paper when folding.

4. HANGING:

Butt the joins and use a clean soft decorator’s brush to smooth down the wall covering, working from the centre to edges of the paper to remove bubbles.

Avoid squeezing paste out of joins and ensure paste does not get onto the brush or roller.

Paste will damage the surface. No paste should be allowed to come into contact with the surface and hands should be kept clean and dry whilst hanging the wallcovering.

Any paste on the surface should be wiped off while it is still moist using a clean damp sponge. Do not rub edges.

Dried paste could damage the surface of the wall covering.
